"For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." ~ Colossians 1:13-14
And what better thing to know? Our pastor preached on the first chapter of Colossians (1:9-14) and made the comment "This is a great passage to pray for people; don't know what to pray for someone? Pray this! I mean, you could even pray this for me! It's just that good..." One of my friends was just leaving that week to help take care of her grandfather a couple states away, so I decided to pray it for her. She was there for more than 2 weeks, but after reading it and praying it every night for the first week, I had it memorized, and since then I've been able to pray it for other people, write it in cards and it's just great. It's a powerful piece of scripture... <3 and it's even greater to have it with me at all times. :)

I'm working on memorizing it too and it's great! Awesome verse to have lodged in your brain :)
